Maintenance Level 1- Building and Grounds

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment throughout our buildings and grounds.
    Assist in maintaining custodial needs of the facilities (trash collection, cleaning of breakrooms, restrooms, etc.).

  • Keep restrooms and breakrooms clean, organized and consistently stocked.

  • Maintain appropriate inventory of janitorial and breakroom supplies.

  • Assist in establishing and maintaining 5S standards throughout the facilities.

  • Regularly clean factory floors; ensure aisles are unobstructed and markings maintained.

  • Perform periodic building maintenance activities including office painting, floor sealing, HVAC filter changes, etc.

  • Ensure grounds are free of trash and debris; perform basic tasks to maintain landscaping.

  • Keep entrances clear of ice and snow.

  • Assist Maintenance Technicians with basic maintenance and repair work as needed.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on production and facilities equipment.

  • Complete basic tasks to maintain machines, equipment and facilities.

  • Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs.

  • Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn and grow
  • High school diploma or equivalent; two years of experience in buildings and grounds maintenance preferred.

  • Ability to read material safety data sheets (SDS) and utilize appropriate chemical labels.

  • Must be able to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to operate maintenance equipment including floor scrubber, forklifts, telehandlers, and skid loader preferred.

  • Ability to read part manuals, basic electrical and mechanical schematics, assembly instructions and troubleshooting guides.

  • Ability to write simple correspondence.

  • Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive.

  • Maintain Blood Borne Pathogen certification.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must pass a pre-placement drug screen and physical
